'Crocodile Dundee' David Gulpilil abusing his wife
David Gulpilil.. who has starred in a ton films including Crocodile Dundee and the 2008 blockbuster Australia, was jailed yesterday for abusing his wife.
The 58 year old man.. who is also an acclaimed dancer and storyteller, will serve at least five months of a 1 year sentence. He was ordered to begin an alcohol rehabilitation programme as a condition of early release.
David Gulpilil made several more films, but it was the 1986 hit Crocodile Dundee, in which he starred with Paul Hogan, that really thrust Gulpilil into the international spotlight.
David Gulpilil was awarded the Order of Australia for services to the arts in 1987. Facenews.us
